Rajasthan Rain School Holiday: Schools have been closed due to heavy rains in more than 20 districts of Rajasthan. NDRF and army are engaged in relief and residence in districts like Kota, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Udaipur, while the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert.
Rajasthan IMD Rain Alert: The torrential rains in Rajasthan for the last two days have completely disturbed life in many districts. Flood -like conditions have been created due to water filling in low -lying areas in districts like Kota, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Udaipur and Banswara. Roads are submerged, rail traffic is disrupted and many rural areas have lost contact.
Army and NDRF deployment in many areas
- The teams have engaged NDRF, SDRF and army personnel in relief work when the teams deteriorated. Due to waterlogging, people are stranded in homes in many places. The water level of rivers in Kota and Bundi is being evacuated by the surrounding villages due to the danger mark.
- More than a dozen people have died in different accidents in the state amidst continuous rains. In Udaipur, four children died due to drowning in a water -filled mine, while a car in Jhalawar was swept away by two people, in which two people lost their lives.
Rajasthan Meteorological Department alert issued
- The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains for the next three days. Yellow alert has been issued in 13 districts including Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh on Monday and Orange alert in Udaipur, Rajsamand and Sirohi. On Tuesday, heavy rains have been expected in several districts including Pali, Jalore and Sirohi.
- In view of security, schools have been declared a holiday in more than 20 districts of the state. These include Kota, Bundi, Nagaur, Jaipur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Jalaur, Karauli, Bhilwara, Udaipur.
- The administration has appealed to the people not to go to flood -affected areas, ignore rumors and follow the official alert. Children and elders do not leave the houses without essential work.
