Uttrakhand Cloudburst: The situation worsened due to cloudburst in Naugaon area of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Saturday evening. Floods and landslides caused a lot of havoc in the Naugaon market. People started running around to save their lives. Due to debris, a house was buried while a lot of houses entered the house due to which people had to face a lot of problems. The Delhi-Yamunotri highway was closed after a cloudburst. A car was buried in the debris and several two -wheelers and a mixer machine were washed away.
Debris reached the low -lying areas
District Magistrate Prashant Arya said that there has been a cloudburst in Sevari Fall strip of Yamuna Valley. Due to the boom in the stream, debris flowed and reached the low -lying areas. At present, no information has been received about the loss of life and property. DM said that in view of the possibility of heavy rains, many people had already vacated the house, which averted the big loss. At the same time, teams of SDRF and NDRF reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. Currently, the local people have been taken to safe places.

Chief Minister gave instructions for relief
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami informed on social media that as soon as the information of the incident was received, he spoke to the District Magistrate and directed to run relief and rescue operations. Dhami said that the affected people should be immediately taken to safe places and all possible assistance should be provided to them. A month ago, on August 5, there was a heavy flood in Kheerganga due to cloudburst in Dharali village of Uttarkashi district. Four people were killed in this accident and many people were buried under the rubble.
Large landslide threat
Now a report by experts from IIT Roorkee has increased the concern. According to media reports, there is a threat to large -scale landslides when earthquake in four mountainous districts of Uttarakhand.
