Cloudburst in Himachal: Life has been disturbed due to continuous heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh. In the Mayad Valley of Lahaul-Spiti district, a major incident of cloudburst occurred at around 7 pm on Thursday evening, causing huge havoc in the area.
Three bridges flowed due to cloudburst
There was a severe flood due to cloudburst in Gudhar, Karpat, Changut, Udgos and Tingrate drains. Three bridges were swept away by this, and a large bridge over the Mayad drain also drowned in water. Due to the flood, people from six villages came into panic and they somehow saved their lives by running away from homes.
Heavy loss of farmers crops
Many houses situated on the banks of the drain have been damaged. At the same time, crops and fields of farmers have also been washed away, due to which they are suffering heavy economic losses. People from more than half a dozen villages woke up all night.

Administration came into action after getting information
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the administration came into action and relief work was started from Friday morning. Teams of Udaipur Sub Divisional Office, Public Works Department, Water Power Department and Revenue Department have reached the spot. Ration and necessary materials have also been delivered to the villagers in Karapat village.
