According to the report released by the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), 45 people have died directly from incidents such as rain, landslides, cloudburst and flowing in water. At the same time, 30 other deaths occurred due to road accidents, electric current and gas cylinder explosion.

The state government has announced the ex -gratia amount for the families of the deceased. Along with this, arrangements are being made for relief camps, food items, first aid and temporary housing in the affected districts.

A special warning has been issued in areas fearing landslides due to heavy rains. The administration has urged people living in low-lying areas to be cautious and follow the guidelines issued by the district administration. Emergency services are placed on high alert.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy rain in three districts for today. In view of this warning, the district administration is in alert mode with full vigilance and people are being appealed to avoid going to low-lying areas or river-drains.
