Businessman CJ Roy, chairman of Confident Group, has reportedly committed suicide. It is believed that he was upset with the repeated IT raids, due to which he shot himself in his house.
Bengaluru: The news of the suicide of Confident Group Chairman CJ Roy has shocked the entire Karnataka. He was a very big businessman. Also, he came into limelight after giving Rs 50 lakh to the Kannada Bigg Boss show. Apart from running the Confident Group, he has also made major contributions to many social causes and the entertainment world.
He had made a lot of headlines by paying Rs 50 lakh for the last season, i.e. Bigg Boss Kannada 11. Recently, his company was undergoing repeated IT raids. Even before this, businessman CJ Roy had been the sponsor of Star Suvarna’s reality show. It is being said that due to this he got upset and committed suicide. He committed suicide by shooting himself in his foster home.
Recently, CJ Roy was raided several times by the Income Tax Department in connection with the disproportionate assets case. Even today, when the IT department was checking the accounts of his earnings, he committed suicide due to fear of raids. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
