Prime Minister Modi has accepted the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s SCO summit. It is said that Xi is eager to meet Jinping. The conference will be held from 31 August to 1 September. Narendra Modi will go to China to join it.
Sco summit: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday. He was handed over the message and invitation of President Xi Jinping for the SCO summit to be held in Tianjin, China. PM Modi thanked President Xi for the invitation and told that he would go to China. The SCO summit will be held in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September.
Narendra Modi said peace should be on the border
Wang Yi is a member of the Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of China. He shared a bilateral meeting with External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and his positive evaluation of the 24th meeting of special representatives with the PM. Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of maintaining peace on the border and reiterated India’s commitment to the proper, logical and mutually acceptable solution of the border dispute.
Narendra Modi welcomed the stable and positive progress in bilateral relations since his meeting with President Xi in Kazan, Russia last year. Modi and Xi met during the BRICS summit in Kazan in October last year.
PM supported SCO Summit for the chairmanship of China
The Prime Minister expressed support for the chairmanship of China and said that he was keen to meet President Xi in Tianjin. He emphasized that stable, predicted and creative relations between India and China would contribute significantly to regional and global peace and prosperity.

In a post on X, Modi referred to continuous progress in relations with China from October last year.
