According to Forbes’ recently released America’s richest migrants 2025 list, India is now at the forefront of billionaire migrants in America. This is followed by Israel and Taiwan’s number. The report states that Jai Chaudhary, CEO of Cyber Security Company ZSCAler, is the richest Indian-American in the US. His total assets have been stated to be more than $ 17.9 billion.
Forbes said that in this list, there are 125 billionaires living in the US who were born abroad. In 2022 this figure was 92. These billionaires belong to a total of 43 different countries and 14% of the total 900 billionaires of America are of these migrants.
China-Israel beaten India ahead
Forbes wrote that the total assets of all these rich migrants are recorded at $ 1.3 trillion (about $ 1.3 lakh crore), which is 18% of the US $ 7.2 trillion assets.
India (7 billionaires) were behind Israel and Canada in the list of migrant billionaires in 2022 and were equivalent to China, but now India (12 billionaires) have reached the top. This is followed by Israel (11) and Taiwan (11). The number of billionaires of China was 7 in 2022, which has increased to 825 to 8.
Alan Musk on the first number in the list
Apart from Jai Chaudhary, the list of Forbes also includes the names of well-known Indian-origin billionaires like Sundar Pichai and Vinod Khosla (Khosla Ventures). Overall, the richest migrant billionaires in the US are Tesla and SpaceX owner Alan Musk, who is also the richest person in the world. His total assets are around 400 billion dollars.
Alan Musk was born in South Africa and came to America via Canada for studies. Google’s co-founder Sergei Brin is the second richest migrant billionaire, according to Forbes for about $ 139.7 billion. Three of the top 10 richest people of America (and world) are migrants.
