At the RJD rally in Samastipur, a child said that if Tejashwi becomes the CM, he will roam around with a ‘katta’ and will be called ‘Rangdaar’. On this statement, BJP-JDU have accused RJD of promoting the culture of ‘Jungle Raj’.
In the midst of Bihar Assembly elections, a video that went viral from an election meeting of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has created a huge political uproar. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal United (JDU) have cornered the RJD over the controversial and violent statement given by a minor child at Tejashwi Yadav’s rally held in Mohiuddinnagar, Samastipur and called it a proof of the culture of ‘Jungle Raj’.
talk of extortion from the stage
The controversy started when Tejashwi Yadav’s meeting was going on in GMRD College, Mohanpur. Before Tejashwi reached the stage, a small child wearing a green gamcha took the mike. The things the child said in Maithili language gave the opposition a direct opportunity to attack RJD.
what did the child say
The child sang a song from the stage whose lyrics were, “Lathiya le ke ghumchhi ta kahay chhahi gwar gaye, ban dahi CM Tejashwi bhaiya ke ta katta leke ghumbau ne ta kahihan rangdar gaye.” In Hindi it means, ‘If we roam around with a stick, people call us uncultured, but let Tejashwi bhaiya become the Chief Minister, then if we roam around with a sword, people will call us colorful.’
The child also added, “Hammer chalaval goli, Tejaswi bhaiya ke bolal boli, kahiyo na khali jaye chaayi ho.” (The bullets fired by us and the words spoken by Tejashwi bhaiya never go in vain).

Sharp attacks from the opposition: ‘K’ to Katta and Sanskar
As soon as this video went viral, JDU and BJP launched a scathing attack on RJD’s politics. The ruling party says that this statement points towards the criminal history of RJD, for which the Lalu-Rabri regime of the 90s was known.
JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar strongly condemned this statement and termed it as anti-women and violent thinking. He wrote on social media, “The child speaks such violent and objectionable language from the stage of Tejashwi Yadav, and the leaders present there praise him! This is the culture of RJD?”
At the same time, Bihar BJP posted on its X handle and described it as a ‘stunning education model’. BJP wrote, “RJD’s stunning education model! Every child in their school learns Katta from ‘K’. RJD and violence are so intertwined with each other that even a small child knows that when RJD comes to power, the business of both Katta and extortion will start.”
Question on RJD
The biggest question is that where did words like ‘Katta’, ‘Goli’ and ‘Rangdari’ come from on the tongue of a minor child, who is not capable of understanding politics and its serious consequences? Is this part of some political propaganda or a strategy to promote the culture of Jungle Raj?
Although Tejashwi Yadav was not present on the stage, the local leaders present on the stage praising the child and not objecting to his violent statement raises serious questions on the mentality of the RJD leaders. This incident has once again brought the issue of law and order and security to the center stage, sidelining the issues of development and employment in the electoral environment of Bihar.
