Chhattisgarh Deep Mahotsav: On the auspicious occasion of Diwali in Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the Deep Mahotsav at Gurudham and wished happiness, peace and prosperity to the people of the state. He also announced new schemes for farmers and women.
Raipur: On the occasion of Diwali, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reached village Bhuiyanpani of Lailunga tehsil of Raigarh today, 21 October. Here he participated in the Deep Mahotsav at Gurudham. He bowed to his adored saints Gurudev Swami Dhanpati Panda ji and Premshila Panda and wished for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state. While extending hearty wishes for Diwali, Chief Minister Sai said that this festival of lights should spread light in every home and happiness, prosperity, peace and love in every life. He said that Guru’s blessings always remain with all of us. During the program, he went to the Shiv temple and performed Jalabhishek on the Shivalinga and also worshiped the Hanuman temple and the banyan tree.
Government working for the development of the people – Chief Minister
Chief Minister Sai said that it is the blessings of the saints and the people of the state that a farmer’s son has become the Chief Minister. He said that in the 22 months of his tenure, implementing the guarantee schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been the top priority of his government. He said that the state government is working with the resolve of good governance, transparency and development for the development of the people of Chhattisgarh.
Schemes for farmers, women and poor
The Chief Minister said that the outstanding bonus of two years has been given to the farmers. The limit for purchasing paddy has been increased to 21 quintals per acre. The price of paddy has been fixed at Rs 3,100 per quintal. Under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month is being given to women. 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. E-governance system has been introduced and strict action is being taken against corruption. Many public welfare schemes like Landless Labor Assistance Scheme, purchase of tendu leaves at Rs 5,500 per standard bag, Ramlala Darshan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana are being run successfully.
New announcements in Deep Mahotsav
Chief Minister Sai also announced construction of a new building worth Rs 1 crore in the Gurudham complex, Rs 29 lakh for Mahtari Sadan, installation of high mast light, beautification of the pond, bore mining and other important works.

At the Deep Mahotsav, Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathiya wished everyone a happy Diwali and said that Guru is the true guide of life. He said that there is no one greater than Guru in this world. Guru is the lighthouse that takes us out of the dark life and leads us on the path of knowledge, discipline and morality. Only the inspiration of Guru provides true joy, spiritual peace and supreme happiness in life. Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Mayor Jeevardhan Chauhan, Sant Sanatan Dharmadevi Sant Samaj President Sahdev Panda, District Panchayat Vice President Deepak Sidar, Satyanand Rathiya, local public representatives and a large number of devotees were present in the programme.
