Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has sought help from Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in searching for software engineer Hemant Soni, resident of Prithvipur. Hemant went missing after falling into the Ganga river from the Bajrang Setu bridge in Rishikesh on October 16.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has spoken to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on telephone and requested for all possible help in the search of Madhya Pradesh’s software engineer Shri Hemant Soni.
Prithvipur resident Hemant Soni missing in Rishikesh
Hemant Soni, a resident of Prithvipur in Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh, who is a software engineer by profession, had gone to Rishikesh to hang out with his friends. On October 16, he went missing after falling into the Ganga river from the Bajrang Setu bridge. His search is on since this incident.
Rescue operation continues, difficulty due to strong current
Local police and rescue teams are continuously searching the river Ganga, but due to the strong current in the river Ganga, the operation is facing difficulties. Information about his accidental fall had come to light two-three days ago, but till now his whereabouts have not been known.
Chief Minister Yadav urged NDRF to take immediate action
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has personally requested the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to direct the NDRF and local rescue teams to take immediate action to search for Hemant Soni. He said that the state government is continuously keeping an eye on this matter and every possible effort is being made for the safe search of Hemant Soni.
