Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the state’s second state-of-the-art food and drug testing laboratory in Indore. Now 20 thousand samples will be tested annually. The government will soon start new labs in Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the health of the citizens of the state is our biggest priority. The government is continuously making efforts for this. He said that Indore is not just a land of cleanliness and taste, but of good governance and service. Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar taught us that governance means public welfare, justice and compassion.
Modern food and drug testing laboratory inaugurated in Indore
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed Food and Drug Testing Laboratory at Lasudia Mori of Saver Assembly constituency of Indore district. He said that this laboratory is not just a building, but a symbol of our commitment towards the health and safety of the public. It is based on the principle of “public taste, public health and public safety”.
Purity and cleanliness key to good health
The Chief Minister said that no matter how delicious the food is, if it does not have purity and cleanliness, it causes disease. With the opening of the new lab, citizens will get fast, accurate and reliable services of food and drug testing.
Testing capacity will increase in the state – target of 20 thousand samples per year
The Chief Minister said that earlier there was only one lab in the state in Bhopal, which had the testing capacity of 6 thousand samples annually. Now with the opening of a new state-of-the-art lab in Indore, the testing capacity will increase to 20 thousand samples per year. The opening of Indore Lab will benefit the citizens of entire Malvanchal.
Warning to adulterants – Government will take strict action
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that strict action will be taken against those who adulterate food items and medicines. The government will encourage those doing good work and protect the life and property of the citizens. He said that the state government has recently implemented 18 new policies and given many types of relaxations to the food processing industry.
New laboratories of Jabalpur and Gwalior will start soon
The Chief Minister announced that a Food and Drug Testing Laboratory will be started in Jabalpur in the next three months. After this, labs will also be established in Gwalior and Ujjain. The government is also working towards starting mobile labs, which will have the facility of microbiological testing.
Five storey state-of-the-art lab built at a cost of Rs 8 crore
The Chief Minister said that this laboratory is a five-storey modern building built on an area of 3700 square feet, which costs more than Rs 8 crore. This lab will monitor the health of the entire division and food items and medicines will be tested with the latest machines so that accurate reports can be obtained.
New direction of public welfare and development
Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the state is writing a new chapter of development under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Minister Tulsiram Silavat said that it is the government’s resolve to provide pure goods to the citizens.
Minister of State for Public Health Narendra Shivaji Patel said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is the guarantee of implementing the schemes given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that soon such laboratories will also be started in Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain. Ujjain’s lab for Simhastha-2028 will be of national level.
