Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, while declaring 2026 as the Year of Agriculture and Farmers, laid emphasis on empowerment of cooperative societies, computerization, expansion of PACS and providing transparent facilities to farmers. Achievements of two years and action plan of three years were presented in the meeting.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that strengthening the farmers and improving their economic condition is the main responsibility of the cooperative institutions. He announced that the year 2026 will be celebrated as the Year of Agriculture and Farmers in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister directed that agricultural marketing cooperative societies should be strengthened to provide fair prices, facilities as per crop cycle and easy services to the farmers. Also, computerization of cooperative societies should be done on priority, so that services can become transparent and simple.
The Chief Minister also gave instructions to make it mandatory for committee officials to submit property details every year and to establish PACS at the Panchayat level. On this occasion, Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang handed over the dividend check of Apex Bank’s share capital of Rs 4 crore 27 lakh 4 thousand 190 to the Chief Minister.
Achievements presented in the review meeting of the Cooperative Department
Achievements of short-term loan distribution, fertilizer-seed distribution, procurement at support price, operation of fair price shops and “Sahkar se Samriddhi” program were presented in the meeting. The action plan for the next three years was also discussed.

- Share capital of Rs 50 lakh each was provided to 15 weak district cooperative banks.
- Computerization and online audit of M-PAX
- The state is the leader in the country in M-PAX computerization and online audit.
- Account information is being made available to farmers through SMS.

- Cadre system implemented for Pax Society Manager.
- Recruitment of Managers and Banking Assistants in Co-operative Banks as per the standards of Nationalized Banks.
