Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme has become a strong basis of social security for the farmers. Since 2019 till now, 1.08 lakh farmers have received assistance. In case of accident or disability, assistance up to Rs 5 lakh is given. Digitization of the scheme will be completed by February 2026.

Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme, implemented with the aim of providing social security to the farmers and their families of the state, has today emerged as a strong security shield. This scheme, operated since 2019 under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has provided financial support to thousands of farmer families in difficult times.

Till now, under this scheme, financial assistance has been given to more than 1 lakh 8 thousand farmers or their families. For effective implementation of the scheme, it is being completely digitized on the instructions of the Chief Minister, which will make the process more simple, transparent and reliable. This scheme is not only supporting the farmer families but is also strengthening the rural economy of the state.

Assistance up to Rs 5 lakh in case of accident or disability

Under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme, if a farmer dies accidentally or becomes permanently disabled, his family is provided financial assistance up to Rs 5 lakh. This assistance directly ensures relief and future security for the farmer family.

Thousands of farmers got benefits in the financial year 2025-26

Rs 873.58 crore has been distributed by the Revenue Department under this scheme in the financial year 2025-26. Through this, financial assistance has been provided to 18,145 farmers or their families of the state. This figure shows the wide reach and impact of the scheme.

Landless farmers and agricultural laborers also got benefits

Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the scope of the scheme was expanded in the year 2023-24. Under this, landless farmers and agricultural laborers were also included in the scheme. In the year 2023-24, Rs 944.72 crore was distributed and assistance was given to 23,821 farmers. Since the inception of the scheme in 2019, a total of 1,08,098 farmers or their families have received financial assistance, which is proving to be a permanent social security cover for them.

Digitization will increase transparency and impact

For smooth and transparent operation of the scheme, complete digitalization of the scheme is being done by the Revenue Council on the instructions of the Chief Minister. For this, a modern web portal and software is being developed in collaboration with NIC, which will be completely ready by February 2026.

Application process will be easier through online portal

After the scheme is completely online, farmers will not have to make repeated visits to tehsil or district offices. The facility of transfer of amount directly from the application to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT will be available. This will also eliminate the possibilities of corruption.

Monitoring will be done through dashboard, trust will increase

This portal is being linked to a special dashboard system for transparency and effective monitoring. This will further strengthen the monitoring and implementation of the scheme. Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme is strongly taking forward the farmer-friendly thinking of the Yogi government by providing financial support to the farmers in difficult circumstances.
