Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will meet the children and their families treated in the Chhindwara cough syrup case in Nagpur. CM said that the government is completely with the families. The government will provide treatment to all the children and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will reach Nagpur and meet the treated children and their families. During this time, the Chief Minister will provide emotional support to the families. He said that the state government stands completely with the families in this hour of crisis. All the children admitted in the hospital will be treated at the government’s expense.
Strict action will be taken against the culprits: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that no culprit will be spared in this case. He said that the safety and health of children is the top priority of the government. They will inquire about the health of children admitted in AIIMS, New Health City Hospital and Government Medical College Nagpur (GMC), Nagpur. CM will also talk to family members and hospital management.
Four children of Chhindwara under treatment in Nagpur
At present four children from Chhindwara district are admitted in Nagpur. Of these, two children are undergoing treatment at AIIMS Nagpur, one child at New Health City Hospital and one child at Government Medical College, Nagpur. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has recently met the families of the victims in Chhindwara district also.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister told the family members-
This is not just your pain, but mine and that of all of us. Your children’s sorrow is my sorrow too. I and the entire government are with you in this hour of pain.
He assured that strict action is being taken against all the culprits and no one will be spared.
‘No one should feel helpless’- Government with every family
The Chief Minister told the victims’ families that the state government is with them at every step. He assured that no family member should feel helpless or alone. The government has also said that all necessary government assistance will be provided promptly. Dr. Yadav has instructed the Health Department officials to take concrete steps to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
High level investigation continues – many officers suspended
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has ordered a high-level investigation into the incident. He said that no one found guilty in the investigation will be spared. Taking immediate action, the government has suspended three officers – Shobhit Koshta, Deputy Drug Controller (Bhopal), Sharad Jain, Drug Inspector (Jabalpur), Gaurav Sharma, Drug Inspector (Chhindwara). Along with this, the Food and Drug Controller has been transferred. The government has ensured that there is no shortage in the treatment of children, for this an administrative team has been deployed.
