Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Chhattisgarh Silver Mahotsav in Naya Raipur on November 1. He will also inaugurate the new Assembly building, Shanti Shikhar Academy and Museum. Preparations are in full swing in the state.

Raipur. Preparations for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Chhattisgarh have started. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Chhattisgarh Silver Festival (Rajyotsav) organized at the Rajyotsav venue in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar on 01 November.

Apart from this, he will also inaugurate Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum, newly constructed building of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly and Shanti Shikhar – Academy for a Peaceful World of Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya.

The Prime Minister will also meet and discuss with the children who have undergone heart operation at Satya Sai Hospital.

Prime Minister Modi will reach Raipur on the night of 31 October

Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Pingua visited the Rajyotsav site located in Nava Raipur and reviewed the preparations. He told that Prime Minister Modi will reach Raipur on the night of 31st October and will participate in all the programs the next day.

Huge public meetings will be organized on the occasion of the inauguration of Rajyotsav and inauguration of the new assembly building. Officials have been instructed to complete all preparations on time.

Detailed review of preparations in the officers’ meeting

In the meeting, Raipur Collector Shri Gaurav Singh gave information about the arrangements related to the Prime Minister’s visit. On this occasion, Public Works Department Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Transport Secretary Shri S. Prakash, Secretary of Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Dr. S. Bharti Dasan, Commissioner Raipur Shri Mahadev Kavre, SSP Dr. Lal Umend Singh and other officials of the district administration were present.

Special attention to traffic, parking and public facilities

Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pingua instructed the officials that the traffic plan and parking arrangements should be prepared as soon as possible. Drinking water, toilets and sanitation arrangements should be ensured at the Rajyotsav fair site and other program venues.

He said that the major squares and intersections of Naya Raipur should be beautified and for the convenience of the people coming to the Rajyotsav, the fair site should be divided into different sectors and the duty of the employees should be assigned.

Both continuous supply of electricity and alternative arrangements should be ensured during the programs. Instructions were also given to maintain the quality of the sound system and the telecommunication network.

Preparations continue on a large scale at the Rajyotsav site

Three huge domes are being built in front of the main stage at the Rajyotsav site, where 60 LED screens will be installed. Adequate chairs are being arranged in the fair premises for the spectators to sit.

There will be two main gates for the entry of people – one for departmental exhibition and the other for the entry of the general public. A glimpse of various departments and public undertakings of the state government will be shown in the departmental exhibition.

A digital exhibition will be set up near the main stage and the model of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will also be displayed.

Strong system of vehicle parking, health and safety

According to officials, parking arrangements for about 20-20 thousand vehicles have been made on both sides of the Rajyotsav venue. Arrangements for parking, drinking water and sanitation are also being made on the external routes coming to Raipur.

300 toilets, 20 bed temporary hospital and ICU, 25 ambulances, and adequate fire brigade vehicles will be deployed at the fair venue.

The aim of all these preparations is to provide a convenient, safe and organized experience to the people during the Prime Minister’s stay and Rajyotsav.
