Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated Gaudham in Lakhasar village of Bilaspur district. He talked about promoting cattle conservation and providing safe shelter to destitute cattle. Animal husbandry training and rural employment opportunities will also be increased under the Gaudham scheme.
Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated Gaudham in village Lakhasar of Takhatpur development block of Bilaspur district. This initiative is being considered an important step for cow conservation and care of destitute cattle in the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister first performed the ritual worship of Mother Cow. After this, he inspected the Gaudham complex and took information about the arrangements there and obtained information related to its operations from the officials.
Inspection of animal care and fodder arrangements in Gaudham.
Chief Minister Shri Sai inspected the arrangements for the care of destitute and stray animals living in Gaudham. He took information about fodder, water and health related facilities for the animals and also inspected the pasture built there. Gaudham has been developed in an area of about 25 acres in village Lakhasar. Out of this, green fodder for animals is being cultivated on about 19 acres of land. This Gaudham is being operated by Kamdhenu Gaushala Committee.
Cow conservation and rural economy will get a boost from Gaudham scheme.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the main objective of the Gaudham scheme being launched by the state government is to provide safe shelter to the destitute cattle in the state and to promote cattle conservation. He said that cattle breeding is an important part of our rural culture, agricultural system and economy. Therefore, the state government is making continuous efforts for its conservation and promotion.
Gaudham scheme will be implemented in a phased manner across the state
The Chief Minister said that the state government is implementing the Gaudham scheme in the entire state in a phased manner. This will enable better care of the destitute cattle and will also strengthen the tradition of cow service. He also announced that now all the Gaudhams in the state will be known as ‘Surbhi Gaudham’.
Training in cow shelters will provide employment and self-reliance
The Chief Minister said that various types of training programs will also be conducted in the cow shelters of the state. Here, training will be given in animal husbandry, production of green fodder and making useful items from cow dung. He said that along with promoting cow service, it will also provide self-employment opportunities to the local people and strengthen the rural economy.
Many important announcements for the development of Lakhasaar
On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai made many important announcements for the development of village Lakhasar. He announced the construction of Mahtari Sadan, Mini Stadium and 500 meter long Gaurav Path in the village. Apart from this, Rs 25 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of training building in Lakhasar Gaudham. It was also announced to provide a cow catcher and an animal ambulance, which will further strengthen cow protection and animal services in the area.
Communicated with cattle herders and villagers
During the program, the Chief Minister interacted with the cattle herders and villagers of the area and got information about the efforts being made for cattle conservation. He appreciated the people engaged in cow service and congratulated them for this service work. The Chief Minister inspired all the people to continue working for cow service and cow protection in the future also.
Takhatpur MLA praised the development works of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai
Takhatpur MLA Dharamjeet Singh said that Chhattisgarh is developing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. He said that whatever promise the Chief Minister makes, he fulfills it. Many important works have been approved for the development of Takhatpur area, many of which have been completed and work on many is ongoing. For this he expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Chhattisgarh Cow Seva Commission Chairman Visheshar Patel congratulated the Chief Minister while giving the welcome speech. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for starting the Gaudham Scheme. He said that this initiative of the state government will give a new direction to cow conservation and will strengthen the protection of destitute cattle.
