Raigarh. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Brijesh Singh Kshatriya today held an important meeting of the PWD department and reviewed in detail all the ongoing construction works in the city. He clearly said that every work should be completed within the stipulated time and quality should not be compromised in any way. All engineers were instructed to ensure complete adherence to standards in construction work.
Strict action against contractors: Notice on delay and negligence
The Commissioner said that those contractors who are delaying the work or have not started the work even after receiving the work order, should be immediately identified and issued a notice. He also directed that if there is no improvement even after the notice or if the progress of work is not satisfactory, such contractors should be blacklisted. This will ensure discipline and responsibility in construction work.
Regular inspection and testing reports mandatory for engineers
In the meeting, all the engineers were instructed to regularly inspect the ongoing construction works in their respective wards. The quality testing report of every work should be compulsorily attached with the bill. This will ensure transparency and quality of works.
Emphasis on transparency and timeliness in payment process
The Commissioner said that contractors should get paid on time as per their work. For this, proper maintenance and timely disposal of all files is necessary. He instructed the engineers and clerks that there should not be any unnecessary delay in the payment process and all the work should be completed as per the prescribed protocol.
Attendance and instructions of officers in the meeting
All the sub-engineers including Executive Engineer Amresh Lohia were present in this important meeting. The Commissioner directed all the officers to work with responsibility and rapidly advance the development works of the city.
