Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced to transfer more than Rs 10 thousand crore paddy difference amount to the farmers before Holi. The state government is purchasing paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and more than 25 lakh farmers will benefit from it.

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Annadata is the strong backbone of the country’s economy. The dream of developed India can be fulfilled only with the prosperity and happiness of farmers. Today, farmers from different districts of the state paid a courtesy visit at his residence office. Farmers expressed gratitude on the announcement of transfer of more than Rs 10 thousand crore of paddy difference to their accounts before Holi under Krishak Unnati Yojana. During this, the farmers congratulated the Chief Minister by weighing him with paddy.

Krishak Unnati Yojana: Payment of Rs 10 thousand crore before Holi

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government will transfer more than Rs 10 thousand crore of paddy difference to the accounts of farmers before Holi. Transfer of this amount will be started from Bilaspur district on 28th February. It will be celebrated as a festival in the development blocks of the entire state. This decision will directly benefit lakhs of farmers and strengthen the rural economy.

Farmer friendly policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi always cares about the farmers and is continuously working to increase their income. India is an agricultural country and the progress of farmers is the basis of the nation’s progress. The central and state governments are working together towards empowering the farmers.

Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and interest free loan facility

The Chief Minister said that during the time of Atal ji, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme was implemented, due to which farmers started getting loans at low interest rates. Earlier, farmers had to take loans from moneylenders at high interest rates, due to which they became victims of economic exploitation. Now farmers are also getting the facility of interest free capital, which is promoting farming.

Irrigation area increased due to Prime Minister Irrigation Scheme

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that water is being supplied to the fields of farmers through the Prime Minister Irrigation Scheme. Due to this, the area under irrigation in the state is continuously increasing and the productivity of farmers is improving.

Record in paddy purchase: 21 quintals per acre and Rs 3100 per quintal.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, which is the highest in the country. This year, 141 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 25 lakh 24 thousand farmers. This is the result of the hard work of the farmers and the commitment of the government.

Government’s continuous commitment in the interest of farmers

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai assured that the state government will continue to work with full commitment in the interest of farmers in future also. On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Seed Development Corporation, Shri Chandrahas Chandrakar and farmers from all over the state were present.
