A 23-year-old officer was beaten to death by his friends for refusing to share beedis in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. After a drunken fight, he was beaten with a stick and thrown on the roadside. The officer later died.
Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, a young man was beaten to death by his friends for refusing to share beedis. The incident took place in Abhanpur, Raipur. The name of the deceased is Afsar (23), who was a resident of Abhanpur. In this case, the police have arrested the officer’s friend Officer Ali Amanullah, Saifullah and Danish. A case of murder has been registered against the accused and they are in police custody. Police have said that a charge sheet will be filed in this case soon.
The officer was murdered a few days ago. He had gone out with friends in the evening, but did not return home till late at night. In the morning he was found injured on the roadside. He was taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The investigation that followed led to the identification of the accused.
Three drunk friends took the life of a friend
Police say that all four friends were taking drugs. Meanwhile, a fight broke out over sharing the beedi that the officer was smoking. After this the friends beat the officer with sticks. Later, the seriously injured officer was dumped on the roadside at an isolated place. In the morning he was taken to the hospital, but he died. The post mortem report has revealed injuries to the body and internal organs. He also had serious injuries on his head.
