Breaking Case: In Bengaluru, a tech engineer was duped of Rs 48 lakh in the name of Ayurvedic sex treatment. His kidney got damaged after taking expensive “Devraj Booti”. The victim has demanded strict action against fake ‘Vijay Guruji’.
New Delhi. A case came to light in Bengaluru which surprised everyone. A software engineer lodged a complaint with the police that he was a victim of fraud of about Rs 48 lakh in the name of sexual health treatment. The matter is related to Vijayalakshmi Ayurvedic Shop and its owner Vijay Guruji. The victim claims that his kidneys got damaged after consuming expensive and allegedly harmful Ayurvedic medicines.
How did expensive medicines empty the pockets?
According to the FIR, the victim is a software engineer who started treatment for sexual health issues after marriage in 2023. He first went to a multi-specialty hospital for treatment, but the real trouble started when he reached a tent set up on the roadside, but then he saw a tent which had an advertisement saying “quick treatment for sexual problems”. The people present in the tent asked him to meet an alleged Ayurvedic doctor named Vijay Guruji.
‘Devraj Booti’ worth Rs 48 lakh – medicine or fraud?
Guruji examined him and gave him an Ayurvedic medicine named Devraj Booti, the price of which would shock anyone – Rs 1,60,000 per gram! Later he was given Bhavan Booti Oil, the price of which was said to be Rs 76,000 per gram. Apart from this, Devraj Rasbuti was given to him at the rate of Rs 2,60,000 per gram. According to the victim, money was demanded only in cash and online payment was strictly prohibited. The victim spent lakhs of rupees on these medicines by believing in Guruji. Took a loan of Rs 20 lakh from the bank and borrowed Rs 10 lakh from friends. Overall there was a loss of around Rs 48 lakh.
Did the drugs really damage the kidneys?
Despite taking medicines there was no improvement in his condition. In fact, within a few months his kidneys began to fail. When the victim asked questions to Guruji, he was threatened that his life would be in danger if he stopped the treatment. He got scared after hearing this, but finally turned to the police.
FIR registered, what action will be taken?
The victim lodged a complaint against Vijay Guruji for cheating, selling harmful medicines and causing serious health problems. The FIR has been registered under different sections of the Indian Justice Code. The investigation is still going on and all eyes are on this case.
