Char Dham Yatra 2026 Registration: Online registration starts for Char Dham Yatra, know the opening date, apply like this

The world famous Char Dham Yatra 2026 of Uttarakhand has been inaugurated. Registration has been officially opened for devotees from across the country and the world today i.e. Friday from 7:00 am. If you are also planning to visit Baba Kedar or Badri Vishal, then this news is very important for you. This year the Yatra is starting from the third week of April.

The yatra will begin with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on 19th April. The doors of Baba Kedarnath will open for devotees on 22nd April. The doors of Lord Badrinath Dham will open on 23rd April.

How to register?

Devotees can book their slots by visiting registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in.

Smartphone users can register by downloading the ‘Tourist Care Uttarakhand’ app.

For those who cannot use the digital medium, offline counters will be started in Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun from April 17.

How to register step by step?

Step 1 (Create Account): Click on ‘Register/Login’ on the homepage of the website. Create an account by filling your name, mobile number and email. Verify it with the OTP received on the mobile.

Step 2 (Tour Plan): After login, go to ‘Create/Manage Tour’. Decide here whether you are going alone or in a group. Select the date of travel and point of entry into Uttarakhand (e.g. Haridwar).

Step 3 (Selecting Dham and Date): Choose the places you want to visit. Select the date as per your convenience in the calendar. If the date is visible in red, then understand that the quota for that day has been full.

Step 4 (Document Upload): Fill the details of passenger’s name, age, photo and government identity card (Aadhaar, Voter ID etc.) and upload the scanned copy.

Step 5 (Submit): After checking all the information, ‘Submit’. If the registration is successful, you will receive a confirmation message and ‘Yatra Registration Card’.

Opposition to the decision to limit the number

On one hand, registration has started, on the other hand, opposition to the government’s decision to limit the number of visitors has also started. ‘Chardham Hotel Association’ has called it harmful for local business. Association President Rajesh Mehta has warned that if the government does not reconsider this, then agitation will be started from the second fortnight of March. However, the government argues that crowd control is essential for the security and order of the Himalayan region.
