There was drama over the controversial run out of Salman Aga in the Pakistan-Bangladesh second ODI. A debate broke out regarding sportsmanship when bowler Mehdi Hasan was given out. Pakistan won the match by 128 runs and leveled the series 1-1.
Dhaka: There was tremendous drama over a run out in the second ODI match played between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Dhaka on Friday. What happened was that during Pakistan’s batting, Mohammad Rizwan played a shot. Salman Aga, standing at the non-striker’s end, felt that a run would be scored and he started running. But when he realized that scoring runs was not possible, he started returning back to the crease. Meanwhile, while trying to catch the ball, Bangladeshi bowler Mehdi Hasan came in the way of Salman.

Standing outside the crease, Salman bent down and tried to push the ball towards the bowler. But Mehdi, showing agility, picked up the ball and hit it on the stumps and appealed for run out.

There was an argument between Mehdi and Salman for some time. Eventually, the umpire gave Salman out. Salman Aga was so angry with this decision that he threw his helmet and gloves on the ground in anger. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media. Many people are criticizing Mehdi Hasan and saying that he has acted against the spirit of the game.
Pakistan won by 128 runs
In this second ODI match held in Dhaka, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule. Batting first, Pakistan team was all out after scoring 274 runs in 47.3 overs. After this the game had to be stopped due to rain. Later, Bangladesh’s innings was reduced to 32 overs and they got the target of 243 runs. In reply, the entire Bangladesh team was reduced to just 114 runs in 23.3 overs. With this victory, the 3-match series is leveled at 1-1.
