Kochi: Kochi Corporation has removed the flex boards of programs related to the Prime Minister’s development schemes. This action was taken on the orders of the High Court, in which it was asked to remove illegal flex boards. These boards installed under the pillars of the metro have been removed. Meanwhile, the inauguration program of these development projects has turned into a major political controversy. The state government of Kerala will boycott this event. State Public Works Minister Mohammad Riyas has not been invited to an important program like the inauguration of the National Highway.
Subsequently, the ministers who had received the invitation, such as M.B. Rajesh and K. Krishnankutty, he also announced not to attend the program. Rajesh said that he received the invitation only yesterday, while Krishnankutty refused to come saying that he was not well. There is news that even the Chief Minister will not attend this program.
At the same time, BJP state vice president B. Gopalakrishnan alleged that CPM is playing this political game for Muslim votes. He said that as per protocol, the Chief Minister was called to the program several days in advance and he could decide who would attend him. BJP state president Rajeev Chandrashekhar said that an attempt is being made to create unnecessary controversy.
