Axis Bank has started a new and secure facility for customers, due to which it has now become very easy to update the registered mobile number. The bank has launched this facility on its mobile app through Aadhaar face authentication, through which customers can change their mobile number while sitting at home.
Such facility for the first time in the country
With this initiative, Axis Bank has become the first among the major banks in the country to introduce UIDAI’s face authentication technology as a completely digital and DIY process. This will eliminate the need for customers to visit the branch to a great extent.

- Verify your identity with Aadhaar Face Authentication (Live Photo through AadhaarFaceRD app)
- Confirm by entering the OTP received on the new number.

Face authentication technology ensures identity by matching the live photo of the customer with the Aadhaar database, thereby reducing the chances of fraud. Additionally, the transaction limit is set to default for 24 hours after the number is updated, providing additional security.
