The Chandrabadni Devi temple, situated on the hill earth of Uttarkashi district, is not just a religious place, it is a wonderful experience to give peace to the soul. This temple is situated at an altitude of about 2277 meters, this temple built here on the top of Chandrakut mountain between Devprayag and Pratapnagar Tehsil is considered to be a Siddhapeeth, because it is believed that the body of Satiidevi fell here. According to beliefs, the body of Goddess Sati fell here, hence it was named Chandrabadni Temple.
