Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer Chand Mera Dil, which released in theatres on May 22 this year, is finally headed to OTT. Fans who did not catch the Dharma Productions offering in theatres had been waiting for it to land on digital for a while. Directed by Vivek Soni, the romantic drama will be streaming on JioHotstar. An official announcement for the same has also been made. Chand Mera Dil received decent to good reviews upon its release, but could not prove to be a box office success.

Chand Mera Dil is all set for its streaming debut almost two months after its theatrical release. Taking to social media, JioHotstar announced that the Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer will be arriving on the platform on Friday, July 17. Thus, all those with a JioHotstar subscription can the watch the film from the comfort of their homes starting tomorrow.
Sharing the trailer, JioHotstar wrote, “Perfect date night? A cozy couch, your favourite person and #ChandMeraDil. Streaming tomorrow onwards.”

How Did Chand Mera Dil Perform At The Box Office
On the other hand, Ananya’s popularity has also been on the rise since Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, even though her last release Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was a box office failure. Therefore, the coming together of Ananya and Lakshya was being looked forward to by many.
However, Chand Mera Dil failed to create enough buzz with its trailer and songs, which resulted in a low box office opening. Despite decent reviews, the film did not pick up pace and ended its theatrical run with an underwhelming total of Rs 27.78 crore.
It is now to be seen if the romantic drama gets a new lease of life on OTT, as has been the case with several movies in the past. Ananya, Lakshya, and the entire team of Chand Mera Dil will be hoping for the film to work its magic and strike a chord with viewers after it releases on JioHotstar.
