Chaitra Navratri 2026 Ghat Sthapana Choghadiya Muhurat
If for some reason you are not able to perform Ghat Sthapana in the auspicious time mentioned above, then you can do this work in Choghadiya auspicious time also. There are 3 auspicious times for Ghat establishment on 19th March. Their timings are as follows-
– 10:58 am to 12:29 pm
– 12:29 pm to 02:00 pm
– From 06:32 pm to 08:01 pm
In which direction should the Kalash be established? Know special things
1. According to Vastu, Ishaan (north-east) is considered the direction of the gods. Mother’s idol and urn should be established in this direction.
2. Akhand Jyoti is also lit during Navratri. Keep it in the southeast angle (east-south).
3. While worshiping the Goddess during Navratri, your face should be towards east or north.
4. There is also a tradition of hoisting saffron flags on houses on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. It should be installed in the northwest corner of your house.
When is the Ashtami-Navami date of Chaitra Navratri 2026?
This time the festival of Chaitra Navratri will be celebrated only for 9 days i.e. no date will increase or decrease. Ashtami and Navami Tithi of Navratri are considered to have special significance. These two dates are also considered best for Kanya Puja. This time Ashtami Tithi of Chaitra Navratri is on 26th March, Thursday and Navami Tithi is on 27th March, Friday.
