– On Thursday, March 19, wake up early in the morning, take bath etc. and take a resolution to fast and worship. Clean the place where the Kalash is to be installed. If possible, purify it by sprinkling Ganga water and cow urine. – At the place of worship, keep a wooden slab which is slightly larger in size, spread a white cloth over it and keep a copper urn near the idol of Mother Goddess. This Kalash should be filled with clean water. Keep in mind that once it is installed, this Kalash should not move. Put some rice, flowers, durva, kumkum, whole turmeric and betel nut for puja in the Kalash. Place coconut on top of this Kalash. Make a Swastika symbol on the Kalash and tie the thread of Mauli i.e. puja. Apply tilak on the coconut and chant this mantra – Om Dhanyamasi Dhinuhhi Devan Pranaya Tyo Danay Twa Vyanay Twa.Dirghamanu Prasitimayushe Dhaan Devo Vah Savita Hiranyapaanih Prati Gribhnatvachchidren Paanina Chakshushe Twa Mahinaam Payoasi..Om Aa Jighra Kalash Mahaya Twa Vishantvindavah.Punarurja Ni vartasva sa nah sahasram dhukshvorudhara payasvati punarma vishtadayi. Sthapayami, Poojyami, Mam Pooja Grahana. ‘Om Apan Pataye Varunay Namah’ – After reciting this mantra, light a lamp of pure ghee. This is a continuous lamp, which keeps burning for full 9 days. Therefore the size of its lamp should be slightly larger. Keep adding ghee in it from time to time. – After this do the Aarti of Mother Goddess. If possible, chant the mantras of the Goddess 108 times. Now worship this Kalash daily. Immerse it on the last day. In this way, every wish of yours will be fulfilled by worshiping Navratri.
