Mother Skandamata Bhog: The holy festival of Chaitra Navratri is going on. Navratri has started from 19th March. This will run till 27th March. By worshiping with true heart and observing fast during Chaitra Navratri, sins are destroyed. By the grace of Mother Durga, happiness, prosperity, wealth and prosperity come in life. Each day of Navratri is dedicated to different forms of Maa Durga. Today is the fifth day of Navratri. This day has been dedicated to Skandamata, the fifth form of Mother Goddess.

What is the nature of Skandamata?
Mother Skandamata rides the lion. Lord Kartikeya i.e. Skanda Dev is sitting in his lap. Due to which she is called Skandamata. Also the mother has a total of four arms. One hand of the goddess is in Varamudra. While two have lotus flowers and one has him holding Lord Kartikeya.
Mother Skandmata’s favorite offering
According to religious belief, offering banana to Mother Skandmata is very dear, hence it is very auspicious to offer banana to her during the puja. Apart from banana, saffron kheer or yellow colored sweets can also be offered to Mata Rani.
Method of worship of Skandmata
Wake up early in the morning, take bath and clean the temple. Then wear yellow colored clothes and sprinkle Ganga water in the temple and house. At the time of puja, offer yellow sandalwood, yellow Akshat, yellow clothes, Panchamrit, sweets, yellow flowers and fruits to Mata Rani. Light a ghee lamp and chant mantras.
