According to mythological beliefs, Lord Brahma started the creation of the world from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Many important fasts and festivals are observed in Chaitra month.

However, there are some festivals which fall in every month like Ekadashi, Amavasya, Purnima. Let us know on which date Ekadashi, Amavasya and Purnima are falling in Chaitra month? Also know the auspicious time for worship.

Ekadashi

The fast of Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. There are two Ekadashi fasts every month. The first in Krishna and the second in Shukla Paksha of the month. The fast of Papamochani and Kamada Ekadashi is observed in Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month.

Papamochani Ekadashi: According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month will start at 08:10 am on March 14, 2026. This date will end at 09:16 am on March 15, 2026. In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, the fast of Papmochani Ekadashi will be observed on 15th March.

Papmochani Ekadashi auspicious time

On the day of Papamochani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu can be worshiped between 08:01 am in the morning and 12:30 pm.

Kamada Ekadashi:According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month will start on March 28 at 08:45 am. At the same time, this Ekadashi date will end on March 29 at 07:46 am. In such a situation, the fast of Kamada Ekadashi will be observed on 29 March this year.

Chaitra Amavasya

According to the Vedic calendar, the Amavasya date of Chaitra month will start on March 18 at 08:25 am. This date will end on March 19 at 06:52 am. In this way, according to Udaya Tithi, Amavasya will be celebrated on 18th March.

Chaitra Amavasya 2026 auspicious time

  • Brahma Muhurta on Chaitra Amavasya – will be from 04:52 AM to 05:40 AM.
  • Twilight time- Will last from 06:29 pm to 06:53 pm.
  • Vijay Muhurta on Chaitra Amavasya Tithi – will be from 02:30 PM to 03:18 PM.
  • On Chaitra Amavasya Tithi, Amrit Kaal will be from 09:37 AM to 11:10 AM.

Chaitra Purnima

The full moon of Chaitra month will start on 01 April at 07:06 am. This date will end on April 02 at 07:41 am. In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, Chaitra Purnima will be celebrated on 02 April. On the day of Chaitra Purnima, moonrise will happen at 07:02 pm.

Chaitra Purnima auspicious time

  • Brahma Muhurta- Will be from 04:38 AM to 05:24 AM.
  • Vijay Muhurta- Will be from 02:30 pm to 03:20 pm.
  • Twilight time – It will last from 06:38 pm to 07:01 pm.
  • Nishita Muhurta- Will be from 12:01 am to 12:47 pm.
