Nalanda Parisar Project: Modern libraries are being constructed in Bilaspur under the Nalanda campus project in Chhattisgarh. This initiative is being taken to promote the spread of education, culture and knowledge, which will benefit students and researchers.

Chhattisgarh Libraries: The state government is taking a big step to give wings to the dreams of the youth of Chhattisgarh. Now not only big cities like Raipur or Bilaspur, but also in areas like Sukma, Dantewada, Narayanpur and Jashpur of remote Vananchal, modern central library-cum-reading zones are being made. In the coming time, these Nalanda campus will not only change the environment of studies, but will also improve the lives of thousands of youth.

From big cities to remote areas, the center of knowledge will be built in every corner

The Urban Administration and Development Department has approved 33 new Nalanda campuses in the last two years. In Raigad, the work of a large 700 seater central library from CSR fund is also going on fast, which will cost Rs 42 crore 56 lakh. This will be the largest Nalanda campus in the state.

Youth will get the atmosphere of modern education

These library-cum-reading zones will prove to be a boon not only for higher education students, but also for those who prepare for competitive examinations. Here both online and offline studies facilities, better book collections and quiet study environment will be available.

Approval of more than 237 crores, 18 new campuses will be built this year

The department has approved Rs 125 crore 88 lakh for 18 Nalanda campuses out of 17 urban bodies in 2025-26. At the same time, 111 crore 70 lakh rupees were sanctioned for 15 campuses in 2024-25, out of which 11 work is going to start soon.

First installment released in 11 cities, construction will increase

After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, the first installment of 19 crore 14 lakh 87 thousand rupees has been released to 11 municipal bodies this month. Construction work will start soon at many places including Durg, Rajnandgaon, Ambikapur, Balodabazar, Bemetara, Kawardha, Kanker and Jashpur.

500 and 250 seater library network ready

500 seater in 10 cities of the state and 250 seater libraries in 22 cities. Cities like Durg, Bhilai, Jashpur, Gariaband and Ambikapur will be equipped with large size Nalanda complexes, while modern reading zones with 250 seat capacity will be set up in small cities.

Raipur will become a hub of education, two more library

The capital Raipur already has three major librarians operating, including 1000 seater Nalanda campus and 800 seater Taxila Library. Now two new libraries of 1000 and 500 seater will also be built here, which will cost more than 34 crores.
