Celina Jaitly Talks About Experiencing ‘Trauma’ Amid Divorce From Peter Haag

Actor Celina Jaitly is currently navigating a challenging period in her personal life, marked by a divorce from her husband, Peter Haag, and an ongoing domestic abuse case against him.

Compounding her struggles, she is also separated from her three children and is dealing with the recent detention of her brother in the UAE. Despite these hardships, Jaitly has been candid about her experiences on social media, sharing her thoughts on trauma and resilience.

In a poignant recent post, Jaitly shared an old video of herself playing with her children, accompanied by a heartfelt message expressing her longing for them. The text overlay on the video read, “I never thought broken pieces could be shattered until I saw my heart. Miss you my 3 sons .. I wait for divine intervention to have you 3 back again in my life!” This emotional tribute highlights her deep connection to her children and the pain of their absence.

In her accompanying caption, Jaitly reflected on her journey through pain and trauma, stating, “The strongest people are usually the ones who are still breaking.” She emphasized that her experiences did not make her stronger but rather broke her repeatedly, forcing her to learn how to heal. “Just when I think I have found my footing, the wound begins to bleed again,” she wrote, illustrating the ongoing nature of her emotional struggles.

Jaitly further elaborated on the misconceptions surrounding trauma, noting that while many believe it has made her stronger, she disagrees. “Trauma did not build me. It broke me. It stole parts of me, left scars no one can see,” she explained. She emphasized that her strength comes from her choice to survive and heal, even amidst ongoing challenges. “Perhaps the strongest people are not the ones who never break. They are the ones who keep choosing to heal, even while they are still breaking,” she concluded.

Celina Jaitly, who last appeared in films in 2011, has faced significant personal challenges, including the loss of one of her twins in 2017. In 2025, she filed a case under the Domestic Violence Act against Haag, alleging abuse. Recently, she announced her return to the film industry with the project Sister Nibedita, signaling her resilience and determination to move forward despite her personal trials.
