New Delhi: Popular Bollywood singer Rahul Fazilpuria has reportedly become the target of a firing incident while travelling in his white Thar. Following the shocking incident on Monday night (July 14), fresh CCTV footage from the area has emerged, showing the Haryanvi singer’s vehicle being closely followed by a suspicious SUV, moments before the alleged attack. The incident has sparked concern among fans and raised serious questions about the motive behind the firing.

Police are currently scanning multiple CCTV cameras in the vicinity to trace the movements of the trailing vehicle and identify the suspects involved. An investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events.

Attack on Rahul Fazilpuria in Gurugram

For the unversed, Haryanvi singer Rahul narrowly escaped a shooting incident on the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) near Gurugram’s Badshahpur on Monday evening (July 14). As per reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at his white Thar while it was on the SPR stretch. The attackers managed to flee the spot, and no injuries were reported.

Who is Rahul Fazilpuria?

Rahul Fazilpuria shot to fame with his 2014 track Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull, which was later featured in the 2016 film Kapoor & Sons, starring Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. His stage name is inspired by his hometown, Fazilpur village near Gurugram. Known for his energetic and catchy music, the singer has delivered other hits like Lalla Lohri, Jimmy Choo, 2 Many Girls, 32 Bore, and Chori Maar Dalegi. He has also collaborated with renowned Punjabi artist Aditya Prateek Singh, popularly known as Badshah.

Rahul had also contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Gurugram on a Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) ticket. Still, he was defeated by BJP’s Mukesh Sharma, who secured the seat with a margin of over 1.22 lakh votes. The singer is known to share close ties with YouTuber Elvish Yadav. Earlier this year, his name came up in a controversy involving the alleged use of snakes and snake venom during a shoot.
