A chemotherapy drug used to treat cancer has a bad effect on the heart of some patients. In medical terms, it is called Cardiotoxicity. Patanjali has claimed to have a solution to this problem. Patanjali’s Acharya Balkrishna says that Patanjali has once again proved through the coordination of Ayurveda and modern science that even the biggest diseases can be cured through Ayurveda.
A research by Patanjali has confirmed that cardiotoxicity caused by chemotherapy drugs can be cured by the herbo-mineral medicine Cardiogrit Gold developed by Patanjali scientists. In fact, it has also been scientifically tested and its results have been published in the international research journal Journal of Toxicology.
How was Cardiogrit Gold prepared?
Patanjali’s team tested this medicine on a model called C. elegans. These are small organisms that are used in medical research all over the world. Research found that after taking Cardiogrit Gold, many positive changes occurred in these organisms.
Their ability to consume food increased, the condition of their working muscles like heart improved, the level of harmful ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) in the body decreased, height and fertility were also seen to improve. And most importantly, the level of Doxorubicin decreased in the body of these organisms. This clearly means that this drug can be effective in reducing the effects of cardiotoxicity.
Ingredients of Cardiogrit Gold
Cardiogrit Gold contains herbs and ash like Yogendra Rasa, Arjun, Moti Pishti, Akik Pishti. In ancient Ayurvedic texts, these are said to be very effective for strengthening the heart and preventing heart diseases. The Patanjali team has given a new form to these traditional remedies by combining them with modern scientific approach.
Steps towards adopting Ayurveda
Acharya Balkrishna says that this research not only proves the power of Ayurveda but also shows that if traditional medical practices are tested scientifically, they can become solutions to the difficult challenges of modern medicine. Balakrishna also said that now the whole world is looking towards Ayurveda with hope.
