Parulkar brought the aircraft shot in the battle of 1965
DK Parulkar fought the 1965 battle. His aircraft was shot in the enemy’s shelling. Showing bravery, he brought the damaged aircraft back to the base. He was awarded the Air Force Medal for this extraordinary courageous task.
His most admirable work took place during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Wing commander Parulkar, who was caught as a power ban in Pakistan, showed extraordinary courage and pride in the Indian Air Force. He was kept in a warfast camp. Parulkar, along with two of his fellow officials, planned and led to it. He dug the tunnel and escaped with fellow soldiers.
