Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025: It often happens that due to lack of experience one does not get a job even after studying. The solution to this problem is the Prime Minister Internship Programme. To get a good job, if you want to get work experience in a good company after completing your studies, then the Central Government has brought a big opportunity for you. Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched ‘Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme 2025’. Under this scheme, youth across the country get a chance to learn work in the top companies of the country for one year i.e. 12 months. During this period, the government also provides financial assistance to every intern.

What is Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025?

This scheme has been started to provide real-life work experience to the youth. Its objective is to bridge the gap between education and industry needs, so that it becomes easier for the youth to get jobs. The government’s aim is to provide internship opportunities in top 500 companies to 1 crore youth across the country in the next 5 years.

What are the duration and conditions of PM Internship Programme?

This internship will be for 12 months (1 year). Out of this, at least 6 months will have to be spent in the real working environment, that is, there will be no classroom training only.

What are the benefits of PM Internship Scheme?

• 12 months actual work experience in big companies of the country.
• Financial assistance of Rs 4500 per month from the government and Rs 500 per month from the company.
• One time additional assistance of Rs 6000 (for incidentals).
• Every intern gets insurance coverage, which will include- Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
• Monthly amount will be available for full 12 months and grant of Rs 6000 will be sent directly to the bank account at the time of joining.

Who can apply for PM Internship Scheme India?

• Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• Age should be between 21 to 24 years.
• The applicant should not be involved in full-time employment or regular studies.
• Students doing online or distance learning can apply.
• Education Qualification: High School or Inter pass, ITI or Polytechnic Diploma, or Graduate (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Pharma etc.).
• The annual income of the family should be less than 8 lakhs.

Who cannot apply for PM Internship?

These candidates cannot apply for this scheme-

• Graduates from institutes like IIT, IIM, NLU, IISER, NID, IIIT.
• CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA or any master degree holder.
• Those who are already in any government skill, apprenticeship or training scheme.
• Whose family member is a permanent government employee.
• Whose family’s annual income is more than Rs 8 lakh. (Family will include only applicant, parents and spouse.)
