In an exclusive conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsha, Wipro’s Chief Technical Officer Sandhya Arun has claimed that an AI-based device has been prepared which can indicate in just 30 minutes whether the patient has cancer or not. He says that this technology can make the investigation process faster, accurate and more reliable. This can also help patients start treatment on time.
how the machine works
Sandhya Arun said that the AI Arm robotic MRI machine first scans the stomach of any patient. He said that the output of the scan is visible on the front screen in real time. So that you can understand what is stomach disease.
AI decides
Whatever tumor or cancer related things are seen in the stomach scan, AI completely detects and studies it. Along with this, he also tells what is visible in the stomach. He claimed that this scan is completed in just 30 to 45 minutes and with the help of AI, it is immediately known whether the patient has cancer or not.
This machine has four arms
Talking about this device, it has four types of arms which help in scanning your body. Generally the central part of the body is scanned by an arm scanner while there are separate arms for other parts. With this, every part of the entire body can be scanned. Its first AI-powered MRI machine manufactured in India.
The machine uses deep learning technology to reduce scanning time by up to 37% and helium consumption by up to 75%, providing faster, more accurate and sustainable testing.
