Can two hair base be made with the same berth certificate? Here is the new rule of the government

UIDAI has issued a notification for amendment in Aadhaar (sharing of Information) Regulation, 2016. The purpose of this amendment is to prevent duplicate hair base enrollment based on the same birth certificate. The notification also includes rules related to neutralizing the Aadhaar number of dead persons. UIDAI said that under the new rule, with the consent of parents or guardian, he can share the Aadhaar number of children under 5 years of age with a State Chief Registrar appointed under the Registrar General of India or Birth and Death Act, 1969. The Aadhaar body said that the aims of the amendment are to stop duplicate enrollment (ie two separate innerlaments for child base, which become two different hair base) on the basis of a single birth certificate.

UIDAI said that according to the new rule, the Aadhaar number of children can be shared whose enrollment was collected on the basis of birth certificate letter without original biometrics information. In its notification, UIDAI clarified that with the consent of Authority, parents or guardian, after the enrollment of a child below 5 years of age, on the basis of birth certificate and without collecting the original biometric information, the Aadhaar number generated can be shared with the registrar General or State Registrar of India… so that the two innovation can be stopped on the base of the same birth certificate.

Is the Aadhaar card of the parents of the child Aadhaar required?

Yes, parents’ Aadhaar card is required for child base enrollment. To enroll your child, you have to bring the birth certificate of the child along with the Aadhaar card of one of the parents for authentication.

What is the enrollment process for children under 5 years of age?

The Indian or NRI child, a resident of Aadhaar enrollment, will have to go to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center with the mother, father or legal guardian and submit the enrollment form with the necessary documents.

According to the UIDAI website, the officer present will ask you the following information during the enrollment.

  • Information about name, date of birth, gender, address, mobile number and email ID etc. will be taken from you.
  • Details of mother and/or father or legal guardian will also be sought.
  • One or both of the parents, or a guardian will have to certify the documents on behalf of the child and sign the enrollment form and also give consent for the enrollment of the minor.
  • Under biometric information, a picture of the child has to be provided.
  • Birth certificate has been made mandatory for the child born after October 1, 2023.

In the same notification, UIDAI said that in Principal Regulation, a provision will be added to the sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 5. Provided that it will not be needed in the event of neutralizing the Aadhaar number of the deceased person under the Segment (EA) of Sub-Regulation (1) of Regulation 28 of Regulation 28 of Regulation, 2016.
