According to Harvard Health Publishing, Different types of nail polish affects the nails in different ways. It depends on what kind of chemical has been found in nail polish. By the way, applying nail polish does not affect the nails much. But if you use it without taking a break for a long time, it can harm the nails.
Research has found that, nail polish often contains three types of chemicals, including toluene, cracked fiction (DBP) and formaldehyde. These chemicals are not just on the surface of the nail, but can enter the body inside the nail. This can cause problems ranging from white stains to their draw on the nails. At the same time, inhaleing them can cause complaints like headache, dizziness, throat and nose irritation.
What kind of nail polish should be used?
Nowadays there are many “non -texic” nail polish brands in the market which come in 3‑free, 5‑free, 7‑free or 10‑free formulas. This means that these polish do not contain harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, tollune and dibutile fiction (DBP). However, in some research, it has been found that other chemicals that are replaced by these harmful chemicals, such as triphinyl phosphate or diethylhexil fleette, can also have a negative effect on the body. Therefore, while buying nail polish, read its ingredients and buy nail polish from a big brand.
Keep these things in mind while applying nail polish
By using nail polish, taking care of some things can prevent damage on the nail. For example, do not apply nail polish regularly, but take a break from nail polish in some time and also give the nails a chance to breathe. Before applying polish, apply the base coat, it will not have a direct chemical effect on the surface of the nails. Apart from this, always use nail polish or remover in open or well ventilated place, so that the harmful gases present in it do not go into the body through the breath.
