BYD India has unveiled a Dynamic variant of its Sealion 7, which becomes the most affordable variant of BYD’s high-end electric SUV line-up in the Indian market. Featuring an introductory price tag of INR 41.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new lower-tier variant caters to those customers who are looking for a more budget-friendly way to own a BYD electric SUV.

The Sealion 7 Dynamic is powered by a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, and it is claimed that the electric SUV can travel up to 520km in one go (NEDC range). The Sealion 7 electric SUV takes just 7.3 seconds to reach 100kmph from 0-100 kmph mark. The launch of the Dynamic trim has taken the number of variants of Sealion 7 to three — Dynamic, Premium and Performance.

“The strategic expansion is a direct response to the tremendous success and overwhelming customer interest in the existing   Sealion 7 variants. With the introduction of the new Sealion 7 Dynamic, we are expanding the portfolio to cater to a more diverse customer base while offering increased options to potential buyers,” said Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India.

“As a new expression of SEALION 7, the Dynamic variant will further strengthen its position in India’s premium EV segment by bringing BYD’s advanced technologies, safety standards and sustainable mobility solutions within the reach of more customers,” he added.

The entry-level Sealion 7 Dynamic comes equipped with a comprehensive set of features, carrying forward technologies such as BYD’s Blade Battery and Cell-to-Body construction.

The electric SUV also benefits from Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control, a panoramic glass roof and a rotating central touchscreen for the infotainment system. A range of advanced safety and driver-assistance systems further adds to its equipment list.

Customers can choose the Dynamic variant in four exterior shades: Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White and Shark Grey.

The BYD Sealion 7 lineup is offered with two Blade Battery configurations, measuring 71.8kWh and 82.56kWh respectively. However, the newly introduced Dynamic trim is equipped with the smaller 71.8kWh battery pack.
