New Delhi: BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, has announced the opening of bookings for the BYD Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition, marking a special milestone for the brand’s flagship electric performance SUV in the country. BYD has said that bookings commence from March 17th, 2026.
Customers can book the BYD Sealion 7’s special edition with a booking amount of Rs 70,000 across their dealership in India.
Being part of the First Anniversary, the first 1100 customers will be receiving exclusive benefits, including a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation, complimentary 2 Years Free Service & Maintenance. Customers are also set to benefit from a first-in-class Low Voltage Battery (LVB) which uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology, backed by an 8-year / 150,000 km warranty (Normal warranty being 6 years /150,000 KM), The High Voltage Battery comes with a standard warranty of 8 Years/ 160,000 KM. The offers are valid only for the first 1100 customers and bookings made till April 30th, 2026.
The First Anniversary Edition also comes with a distinctive Tahiti Blue interior colour theme, augmenting the premium and futuristic cabin of the Sealion, while also managing to retain the car’s signature ocean-inspired design language.

BYD Sealion 7 powertrain and features
BYD Sealion 7 has seen a good reaction from the Indian customer base and has been one of the best-selling cars in the premium electric SUV category. The model has sold above 2500 units in India.
Sealion 7 comes with an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery and is available with Premium and Performance trims. The Performance trim does 0-100 kph in just 4.5 seconds, with Premium doing the same in 6.7 seconds. The Sealion’s Performance trim has a range of 542 km while the Premium trim has a range of 562 km (NDEC).
In terms of feature it gets a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, and 128-colour ambient lighting. Additional highlights include a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade. It even comes with features like 12 Dynaudio speakers, ventilated and heated seats, 50 W wireless phone charging and much more.
