The BWF Badminton World Championships will return to Indian soil after 17 years when the 30th edition of the competition is hosted at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi.
Several top Indian shuttlers will be in action against the world’s best from the 17th to the 23rd of August.
The competition will feature five categories (Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles). India will aim to continue a 16-year streak of winning at least one medal in each edition with the country’s finest players like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and Satwik-Chirag set to compete.
The only previous instance of the competition taking place in India was in 2009, when Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium hosted the event
