Foreign Secretary Vikram Egyptian said, “The 15th summit will review the two Prime Ministers bilateral relations. During this time, the progress made in various fields will be reviewed in the last few years. The ideas on important regional and global issues will be exchangeed.

Narendra Modi and Shigeru Ishiba will review the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan. This includes defense and safety, trade and economy, technology and innovation and exchange between people.

During his visit to Japan, PM Modi and Ishiba Bullet can go to Sandai city by train. The city is known for the semiconductor. Modi and Ishiba will consider Japan’s participation in future bullet train projects in India besides the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route.

Japan is helping India in running a bullet train

The earlier agreement was reached between India and Japan that the Bullet trains of the E5 series being used in Japan would be sent to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. Later, Japan offered to launch the new E10 series bullet trains simultaneously in the two countries.

The speed of E10 bullet trains is the same as E5 trains. It can go up to a maximum of 320km/h. The new train is designed to avoid derailment even during the earthquake. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is offering Rs 88,000 crore for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The total estimated cost is about 81 percent of Rs 1,08,000 crore. The remaining amount will be given by the Ministry of Railways and Maharashtra and Gujarat State Governments.

India and Japan will also upgrade the 2008 joint manifesto on security cooperation. The two countries will start an economic security initiative, focusing on semiconductor, critical minerals, AI, telecommunications and clean energy.
