Bukayo Saka left out of England squad to face Andorra in World Cup Qualifier match

, the Arsenal forward, has been left out of the England squad to take on Andorra on Saturday, June 7, in the World Cup Qualifier match at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona.

While head coach Thomas Tuchel didn’t give the exact reason about omitting Bukayo Saka just a day before the big match, he pointed out that the 23-year-old had completed only one full training session in the build-up, which is why it’s highly likely that the decision was made keeping his fitness in mind.

Apart from Bukayo Saka, the likes of Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins were also removed from the 26-member squad. In their official statement on the website, England football revealed that Ollie Watkins suffered a minor injury, due to which he won’t be playing the friendly next week against Senegal either as a precautionary measure, and he has also left for home as per the report published in BBC.

Bukayo Saka could still play for England against Senegal next week

Bukayo Saka and Conor Gallagher are still the part of the England squad to take on Senegal, but it isn’t confirmed whether they will be available for the international friendly at the City Ground in Nottingham on Tuesday, June 10. Saka is yet to take the field for England under Thomas Tuchel’s management, but he already has 43 appearances for the national team, and it’s only a matter of time before the youngster takes the field under German’s rein.

The reason for Conro Gallagher’s omission from tonight’s game against Andorra isn’t given, but it might be associated with a fitness issue in all likelihood.
