The auspicious time of worship of Mahadev on Mercury Pradosh fast will be from 6:56 minutes to 9:07 minutes on August 20. During this time you can worship Mahadev. On August 20, Rahukaal will be from 12:24 minutes to 2:02 minutes. In such a situation, worship should not be done during this time.

How to worship Pradosh fast?
- On the day of Pradosh fast, get up before sunrise and bathe and wear clean clothes.
- Sprinkle Ganga water at the place of worship and keep a statue of Shiva-Parvati.
- Then sit on the seat of Kush and worship Lord Shiva and Ganapati.
- Bath Lord Shiva with milk, water, curd, honey, ghee.
- Then offer them belpatra, flowers, perfumes, barley, wheat, black sesame etc.
- After this, light incense and lamp and worship duly.
- Get Ganpati Bappa bathed with Panchamrit and apply them tilak of vermilion.
- After applying tilak to Bappa, offer Durva, Modak, betel nut and flowers.
- Worship by law and chant ‘Om Gan Ganpate Namah’ and ‘Om Namah Shivaya’.
