This is the ninth consecutive budget of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The first phase of the budget session, which began on January 28, will continue till February 13. The second phase will start from March 9 and end on April 2. On the budget day in the year 2025, the stock market had a good start, but by the end of the day the momentum had slowed down. After the presentation of the budget on February 1, 2025, the Sensex closed at 77,505.96 with a rise of 5.39 points, while the Nifty 50 slipped by 26.25 points and ended the day trading at 23,482.15.
