BTS world tour 2026: Dates, cities, ticket sale timeline – Is India missing the bus?

BTS World Tour 2026: Global K-pop icons BTS have officially lifted the curtain on their much-awaited World Tour 2026, setting the stage for one of the biggest live music events in recent years. The announcement was shared on Weverse on Tuesday evening (January 13), confirming tour dates and cities across several continents.

However, Indian fans are still waiting for clarity on whether India will feature on the list.

BTS World Tour 2026 announced

The seven-member group, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung aka V, and Jungkook, will kick off the tour with a grand opening in Goyang, South Korea. Three shows are scheduled at Goyang Stadium on April 9, 11 and 12, 2026. From there, the tour will stretch across 2026 and 2027, marking a full-scale return to global stages after the group’s military hiatus.

According to BigHit Music, the BTS World Tour 2026 will span 34 regions across five continents, featuring a staggering 79 shows. Adding to the spectacle, the group has also announced an immersive 360-degree stage, designed to bring fans closer to the performance no matter where they are seated.

Japan is the first international stop after South Korea, with two nights confirmed at the Tokyo Dome. The North American leg is particularly extensive. BTS will perform 28 shows across 12 cities, including Tampa, El Paso, Mexico City, Stanford, Las Vegas, East Rutherford, Foxborough, Baltimore, Arlington, Toronto and Chicago. The run will culminate in a four-night finale in Los Angeles.

Europe, South America and Australia are also part of the confirmed tour map. The announcement further hinted that additional cities will be added in 2027, with Japan, the Middle East and other regions expected to feature in later phases.

BTS World Tour 2026 tickets

Ticket sales begin with an exclusive window for ARMY Membership holders from January 22 to 23, depending on local time zones. General ticket sales will open globally on January 24, making it a crucial date for fans worldwide.

For Indian ARMYs, the big question remains unanswered. No Indian city has been listed so far. Still, hope lingers. On December 27, Taehyung sparked excitement during a Weverse live when he said, “Namaste, namaste, Indian ARMY. See you next year!” While not an official confirmation, the greeting has fuelled speculation that India could be added later.

Adding to the excitement, BTS are also gearing up for a major comeback. Their fifth studio album is set to release on March 20, 2026, at 1 PM KST. BigHit Music described it as “especially meaningful,” calling it a love letter to ARMY and a reflection of the group’s next chapter.
