BTS star Suga is preparing to wrap up his alternative military service, and fans are buzzing with anticipation. While the official discharge date is not mentioned in the agency’s announcement, multiple reports suggest he will complete his service on June 21, 2025. Ahead of this milestone, BigHit Music has issued a statement through Weverse, confirming that no official event will be held to mark the occasion.
BigHit says no events on Suga’s discharge day
In a post addressed to fans, BigHit Music wrote, ‘SUGA is close to completing his service as a Social Work Personnel and will soon be discharged. No special events are planned on the day of SUGA’s discharge.’ The message mentioned that the discharge will be a low-key affair and requested that fans refrain from gathering at the site for safety reasons.
Acknowledging the immense support from BTS’s global fanbase, the agency added, ‘Overcrowding can pose safety risks, and we sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts.’ The company also thanked fans for their continued love, adding that it will ‘continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists.’
Shortly after BTS’s anniversary celebrations, Suga left a heartfelt voice note for fans. Translated by a fan account, he said, ‘Hello, this is SUGA. It feels like it’s been so long since I got to greet you. ARMY, have you all been doing well? I’ve been spending my time waiting for the day I get to see you again. I miss you so much. I love you, everyone.’

Suga’s discharge is near, and BTS is finally set to reunite. Jin and J-Hope have already completed their service, while RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were discharged just last week. The group recently came together to attend J-Hope’s concert in Seoul, signaling their strong bond and imminent return to the stage.
