He kicked things off by talking straight to ARMY, BTS’s massive worldwide fanbase. “I should apologise to ARMY for the recent live broadcast,” he wrote. His message opened the door for a real conversation with fans who were worried about his late-night livestream.

Jungkook apologises to ARMY for controversial live

For the unversed, the discussion centres around a February broadcast that drew criticism on social media. During the stream, Jungkook appeared visibly intoxicated and used profanity, which some viewers felt was out of character for the BTS star. The broadcast also included a finger gesture that sparked debate among fans and commentators online.

While addressing the incident, Jungkook admitted he was still uncertain whether his actions crossed a serious line. “Personally, I’m not sure if I did something significantly wrong,” he explained. “I’m not a public figure, and these are things people in this industry often say.”

However, he also stated that his decision to apologise came from a place of respect for fans. “I realised that ARMY might have found it uncomfortable since I hadn’t shown such behaviour before,” he wrote. “I want to apologise to any ARMY members who felt uncomfortable and will refrain from doing so in the future.”

Jungkook also explained the context behind the livestream, revealing that he had simply been celebrating the group’s comeback. “I was in such a good mood that day because of the comeback,” he said, adding, “I hope you understand that.”

At the same time, the singer expressed discomfort with what he described as harsh public criticism surrounding the incident. “I don’t really want to say much to people who are quick to criticise everything. Thank you for your interest,” he commented.

Despite the controversy, Jungkook reiterated his deep connection with fans. “Those who know how I feel about ARMY will understand. I’ve always been sincere, and my desire to do well is because of you all,” he shared.

The artist also acknowledged that he is not perfect and may make mistakes in the future. “I don’t know where else I might go wrong. I won’t cross truly sensitive lines, commit crimes, or do anything really bad, but as a person, I might sometimes make such mistakes,” he said. “If anything is uncomfortable or inappropriate, I hope you’ll point it out. I’ll accept your feedback.”
