BTS Jungkook goes rogue at 3 AM on smoking and pressure from HYBE | WATCH

BTS Jungkook live: Wake up, ARMYs! Jungkook dropped another Weverse Live, and it’s piping hot with controversy. Tension brewed online in the early hours of February 26 after the BTS member went live and openly expressed frustration about his agency, HYBE. The late-night broadcast, which reportedly lasted one hour and 28 minutes, has since been removed, leaving fans worried and divided.

Jungkook began the livestream around 3:42 AM. As reported by Chosun Biz, he appeared relaxed and slightly intoxicated, chatting casually with a friend and his older brother. However, the mood shifted when he spoke about the pressures surrounding BTS’ much-awaited comeback.

BTS Jungkook goes all out on dissing HYBE

“I was really busy in February–March and didn’t even have time to go to the dermatologist,” he said, adding, “Because the comeback is right around the corner, I have to do a lot of preparation.”

The Standing Next To You singer didn’t stop there. He voiced clear frustration about restrictions during live sessions. “I don’t even know. I don’t know what I’m supposed to be careful about when I go live. I just want to do it comfortably,” he shared. He continued, “I’m a person too, I don’t know, and I went live because I wanted to,” before adding, “The moment I say this, I think the company will freak out.”

At one point, Jungkook admitted, “This isn’t something agreed upon with the company; I said it because I felt frustrated.” He further remarked, “I like you all, I don’t know. I’m just annoyed,” and insisted, “I’m just going to live the way I want. I don’t know. I don’t know about the company either. But I don’t want to lose what’s precious, so I’ll do well.”

The candid tone continued. “Honestly, going off because I’m drunk is part of my personality and my thoughts, isn’t it?” he said. “Speak freely. Don’t worry about the company. That’s what I actually want. Of course, this could become a controversy, I don’t know, but that’s who I am, so what can I do?”

BTS Jungkook talks about quitting smoking

He also touched on personal topics, including smoking. “I want to talk about smoking, too. I don’t smoke now but. Why can’t I talk about it? I’m 30. I smoked before, but I worked hard and cut it. I wanted to talk about this. The moment I talk about this, the company will make ahhh but idk. I smoked,” he reportedly said.

Soon after, the video disappeared from the platform. Fans flooded X with concern. “Genuinely why did the live get deleted?” one user asked, while another wrote, “Hybe deleted Jungkook’s live. How I hate them.”

Others urged the label to support him. “Please support Jungkook and don’t criticize him,” a fan posted. Another added, “We love Jungkook for who he is.”

Despite the controversy, Jungkook recently made headlines for fronting Calvin Klein’s Spring 2026 denim campaign as a global ambassador, with reports claiming the collection sold out shortly after launch.
